Hey Guys!
It’s that time again; Day of Silence is coming up tomorrow, April 15th, 2011! On the Day of Silence hundreds of thousands of teens and adults will vow to silence to bring attention to anti-LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered) bullying and harassment.
This is my fourth year doing it, and it’s always been an amazing experience. Bullying and harassment is a serious issue in our schools across the nation and world, it needs to change. You will experience negative comments towards you or what you’re doing, you will feel the harsh looks from students and teachers.
Don’t let anyone bring you down, especially on Day of Silence. We’re not there to force our opinions on anyone; But, if we change one persons outlook on LGBT bullying and harassment then we’ve done our job.
For more information visit http://www.dayofsilence.org and spread the love tomorrow and everyday! This world is truly a beautiful place, especially when hundreds of thousands of teens can join together to change lives.
